Workshops for Students

Understanding Sexual Orientation
This workshop raises awareness regarding what lesbian, gay, and bisexual students face both in and outside of school. It encourages students to examine their own feelings and opens dialogue to increase sensitivity and reduce bias.

Understanding Gender
This workshop helps to raise understanding and awareness surrounding the topics of gender identity, gender expression, and Transphobia and what it means to be an ally to the transgender community.

Allyship in Action
Designed for students who are members of Gay/Straight Alliances (GSAs). Through lecture, open discussion and role-playing, students examine their own viewpoints and develop improved skills for responding to anti-LGBTQ+ bias in their schools and communities.

I AM Workshop

PFY's Youth Health Advocates (youth of color ages 17-24) are available to go into health classes, community centers, and GSAs to provide a workshop called the "I Am Workshop" that educates on HIV, STIs, and PrEP/PEP. These Youth Health Advocates will also talk about PFY's available services to serve as liaisons between your school and our agency.
