Misión
PFY es un servicio y un defensor de los jóvenes lesbianas, gays, bisexuales, transgénero y queer/inquisitivos (LGBTQ+) hasta los 45 años. Nuestra misión es mejorar la salud y el bienestar de la comunidad LGBTQ a través de la educación, los servicios de apoyo y el desarrollo personal. en los condados de Nassau, Suffolk y Queens.

Historia de PFY
En 1993, Long Island Crisis Center inició PFY (anteriormente Pride for Youth) en un momento en que el apoyo y la divulgación a los jóvenes LGBTQ+ en Long Island eran prácticamente inexistentes. PFY ha crecido para abarcar múltiples servicios que abordan muchas de las necesidades de los jóvenes LGBTQ+ y sus familias.

Pride for Youth creó el programa Coffeehouse en 1995, el primer café suburbano para jóvenes LGBTQ+ en el país. Comenzamos a transmitir anuncios de servicio público en MTV a mediados de los años 90, una de las primeras estrategias de divulgación en los medios masivos para jóvenes LGBTQ+ en todo el país.
